Stairs from the street to the front door...

I want an approach from the street that doesn't require someone to walk up the driveway. I want it to be welcoming and stylish - not fussy. I don't think a lot of flowers, but maybe some textural plants, or none.
This is my favorite "stairs" concept. I like the stairs that cascade in two directions, that they have a turn and don't go straight down, and I like that there are no terraces, walls, or boulders around the stairs.

It might be cool to put a back-less bench on two sides of one of the larger upper landings to make a gathering place. Maybe out of wood, or wood on top of concrete.

This is a photo from a house south and a little west of ours in the Indian Hills neighborhood. I like the zig-zag path of the stairs, but don't really want walls around the stairs and we don't like the loopy planter bed around it.

I like the 90deg jog in in the path of the stairs, and how linear they look. Is this maybe stacked rock instead of concrete?

I like the angular jogs in the path, and how stairs are mixed with landings both parallel and perpendicular to the street. I like the concrete pads with grass between at the bottom of the stairs. I don't like the long terraces going out from the stair runs.

We like these stairs just set in the grass.

I like this for the rear patio. I've also seen pea gravel between concrete rectangles and I think that looked nice. Maybe there's a way to put a fabric sun shade over the supports.
